At times, many of us can feel lonely, isolated, or down, and it can be hard to know how to feel more like yourself again.

If you’re an adult who would like help in improving your sense of wellbeing, and live in or near Storrington, then we would like to invite you to register your interest in joining the Lost Woods project’s free Woods on Prescription course starting this September.

We’ll be running activities that will help connect you with nature, and you’ll meet new people in your local area too. Each session we'll try something different such as woodland crafts, wildlife surveying, light conservation work, and more. The sessions always end with tea and cake and the chance to share thoughts and experiences.

The course has been planned around the NHS's Five Ways to Wellbeing approach, so that by the time the course ends, you'll have some practical tools for the future.

To find out more or to register your interest to attend, please email Cathy at lostwoodsteam@ruralsussex.org.uk or complete our form. Places are limited so please do get in touch as soon as you can if you'd like to join us.

Most people who join this course self-refer, but we are also keen to hear from social prescribers or community groups who would like to make a referral.

Feedback from previous course participants

‘I’ve had the most beautiful time. It’s something I wouldn’t have thought I’d come along to but it’s been enjoyable, informative and I’ve learned a lot. I’ve loved meeting different people – different types of people.’
‘It’s got me out of the house, and got me more interested in life again following an illness.’
“[I’ve] got back in touch with myself, which I haven't been for very many years. It's feels really good. And as I say, it’s a safe place to be."
