Eligibility for support and training

The Lost Woods project area spans a largely unprotected landscape, bordering the South Downs National Park and the High Weald National Landscape.

Our training and community support activities are aimed at people living, working or volunteering within the project area.

Our support for reviving woodlands is aimed at those who own, lease or rent land containing long-established woodlands of up to 5 hectares within the project boundary. This includes private landowners, community groups, councils and non-governmental organisations.

Owners of larger areas of land in the project area can apply for woodland creation support to help us reconnect ancient woodlands.

The map below shows the project area and its boundaries in detail. If you have any queries about whether you’re eligible to get involved, please contact us.
