Woods On Prescription course - Burgess Hill

Fortnightly sessions on Wednesdays, 10am - 1pm

The Lost Woods team invites you to join our woodland wellbeing group for adults, to help you to learn to enjoy and connect with nature for improved wellbeing. This course is ideal for those who live in or near to Burgess Hill.

· Connect with nature through activities that promote wellbeing

· Woodland crafts, wildlife surveying, light conservation work and more

· Meet new people and get to know your local woodland

Previous participants said: “I’ve had the most beautiful time”, “It’s got me out of the house and back into the world again”, and “It’s made me proud of our local area”.

Gate hurdle making course

Traditionally used to handle and contain livestock, today gate hurdles are an attractive addition to your garden or green space. They make beautiful natural fencing and today are often used as plant supports or border edging.

Join this one-day course to learn how to make your own gate hurdle. The course will cover:

  • types of hurdles and history
  • suitable timber species
  • tool safety and types of tools traditionally used
  • making gate hurdles from sweet chestnut

Fee: £45
